Not really!! Actually, I only know about ten people in Texas and six of them are from one family who just so happen to share my name (meet the Christopher family)! Small world, yeah!
Anyways, I was able to take a little vacation road trip to Texas and I must say that Texas is big. I was blown away by how open and spread out the city, or should I say cities, of Dallas, Ft. Worth, Arlington, Irving, etc. really were. It really is life-changing when small town people go to the big city. We (Lewis Pollard and family) saw many fantastic sights (JFK memorial), shared many laughs (8 kids under 7), watched tons of basketball (March Madness), drank gallons of coffee (quad venti latte), and just enjoyed spending quality time together....
...on a side note, yeah I spent most of my vacation with eight kids under the age of seven, so what? I enjoyed every minute of it. And just for those who are wondering, it did not serve as birth control. I love kids very much and am looking forward to having a batch of my own one day. Life is given by the sovereign God almighty and I will celebrate it every chance I get...
But, along with all the fun times and new experiences in a HUGE city, the passion and urgency of the calling placed on my life grew even more. Every day as I went new places and experienced new things I was faced with the fact that there are people connected with each one of these places and experiences. People that, without Jesus and forgiveness of sin, will ultimately end up eternally separated from God. The only way they will hear about Christ is if someone will tell them and so immediately I was brought right back to Crawfordville, FL in Wakulla County, and WSBC, and the close connection with Tallahassee and the ministry that I have been graciously granted and began to wonder, "Am I doing everything I possibly can for the cause of Jesus Christ and the sake of His Gospel?" Humbly, the answer is, "No, I haven't." Truth is, I love WSBC, Crawfordville, and the surrounding communities and cities but I definitely feel that I can give more of myself in order for that love to be shown. My prayer is to be so in tune with God that His favor will shine in my life, not for my glory, but for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.
So, yeah, it was just a vacation, but it was a vacation that opened my eyes up to a few things and I'm glad that it happened...
It Happened Like This...
This is how it happened! The world through the optical lenses that God gave me. Feel free to join me on this little journey called life.

Corporate Worship 3-27-11
It was great to be back at WSBC this week. Although our little trip was great and very needed, it was good to be back home.
We did things a little different this week as we scaled things down but I thought it turned out great. I really felt God speaking to me, bringing me back to the place where its all about Him and His Son, Jesus. Often I find myself in a battle with truly worshiping and worrying too much about how the music sounds, hitting the transitions correctly, being in time with other vocalists/musicians, etc that I sometimes lose focus. Shocking, I know! Hey, I just want to be real. But, yesterday, it was encouraging and sustaining to just take a step back from the mic at different times, barely strum the guitar, and just listen as the church belted out praises to our God. Lifting up with one voice songs and music that proclaim our God as the one and only true God of all things is one way we can truly worship.
Yesterday's set looked a little like this...
Hosanna (Praise Is Rising)
I Stand Amazed
A Mighty Fortress
This Is Our God
Yahweh
How He Loves
Hope all is well and hope to see you soon...

I'm baaaaaack...
Hello,
I think I'm going to try to start blogging more. Things are starting to slow down since the big move and the new ministry (trust me, it's been crazy, but so much fun)! I feel I've been challenged like never before and I also feel I've grown closer to Christ, in ways that I never thought possible! So, hopefully, I will be able to write about it here, on the blogger. I'll also post set lists from week to week just so you'll know what's going on. Hope to see you quite often and hope you enjoy!

Can I have a piece of that....wait, gimme ALL of it!!!!
Numbers 33:50-56
Upon conversion, we become a new creation! The work of God's holiness begins in our lives. He leads us to become more and more like Him and less like the world around us. Upon inheritance of the Promised Land, God commanded the Israelites to "drive out all of the inhabitants of the land". Now, that's a tricky little word. "ALL" means, quite simply, all! But, somehow, we always reduce it to only meaning "part of" or "just a little bit" or "just enough to get me by". Especially, when we are talking about the things of God (Don't worry, the Israelites had a tough time with it as well). When we begin to seek the things of God, the things that do not honor Him should not even be on our radar. But the truth is, a lot of times these are the things that cause us problems because it seems like they are constantly in our face, tempting us and leading us to make poor decisions. This is where that tiny, confusing word, "all", comes back into play. God clearly told the Israelites that if they did not drive out the inhabitants of the land (Remember: He said ALL of them!!!) that they would be "barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides". Are you seeing what I'm seeing yet? There are a lot of things that we keep in our lives that don't honor God. We keep them there because we don't want to completely let go of it or we think that they're not that bad and God wouldn't really mind. When, in actuality, these are the very things that bring us down and slowly hinder our relationship with God. So, the question is, have you driven out everything that does not honor God? Don't let something so simple hinder your relationship with Almighty God!

I got a hankerin' for...
I'm completely pumped for our summer series that will be starting up June 25. It's called CRAVE. The basic idea is found in many verses but one is Matthew 5:6. There are many many things that this crazy world throws at us that are appealing to our fleshly desires. Before we realize it, we are hooked on these things and we begin to desire them intensely. Basically, we begin to crave them. However, many of them do not honor God. Instead, they honor our own selves. Its the thinking of "if it makes you feel good, then do it" regardless of the consequences and whether or not God has anything to say about it. The goal of this series is to reverse the thinking of satisfying our natural desires and put the focus on living a life that is pleasing to Jesus Christ. Christ calls us to be set apart from this world and live for the fulness of the glory of God the Father. My desire is that we will crave a life that is pleasing to the Lord, bringing glory to the Father and lifting up the name of Jesus...
Hope you got a hankerin' for Jesus...
Bring it...
