are you serious???

hello everyone (all two of you!!)

alright, how can you not be aggravated at this stuff that's going on with tim tebow and the commercial that is supposedly going to air during the super bowl? it's all over the news and the big question is "WHY?" because somebody out there thinks it portrays an anti-abortion message?? what?? i don't care of you are a gator fan or not but if you call yourself a follower of Christ, this should really be hitting a nerve with you! i mean, seriously!! here's a quote i found here: "we don't need a christian fundamentalist athlete lecturing us about his beliefs." (Jodi Jacobson, editor-and-chief of RH Reality Check). seriously, jodi??? i don't think a guy making a simple statement about how his mother chose not to have an abortion is a lecture! it's pretty much a fact! and its the truth!

praise the Lord for a person such as tim tebow. at least he's standing up for what he believes in amid persecution. also, CBS seems to be standing firm on airing the ad.

this just brings to light the battle we are in as Christians in this world.

please, let's don't take this lightly. to me, this is a big deal. much bigger than a superstar football player in a commercial. this shows me that there are people who are completely lost in this life, completely separated from God. we have to act. we may not ever be on a commercial during the super bowl, but we come into contact with people everyday. no matter how much we might disagree with them, we have to display the love of God to them.

i encourage and urge you to pray, stand firm, and rejoice in the Lord!!

  1. I agree with you. The outrage regarding this commercial is sad. I am not disappointed that lost people are acting lost; it is what they are supposed to do. I am saddened by the fact that so many people are ferociously running away from the Gospel. Regardless of your religious background the story still rings true. Mrs. Tebow made a decision based on her convictions and God has richly blessed her child. It is concerning that people want that story to be hidden. I believe the fear is not the anti-abortion commercial being aired, but rather Tebow having a greater stage to share the Gospel.

  2. Right on!! I know I sound like I'm hating on this person and not loving them, which unbelievers would be quick to call me a hypocrite, but I don't think that is true. I love this person with the love of God but at the same time it doesn't mean that I have to agree with what she says. Jesus wasn't all "lovey-dovey" when he overturned the tables and threw out the moneychangers in the Temple. It's our obligation to stand up for the truth.

  3. Chris, I see people all the time who compromise their beliefs just so they won't look like a "Jesus freak" and it is sad. If we deny Him then he has not choice but to deny us, and I wouldn't blame Him. But God's grace is wonderful and never ending. Kudos to the Tebows for standing firm, as they always have, we should all learn something from Tim's playbook.
